We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright

We’re Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give almost half a million people aged 6-25 the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

Welcome to 1st Hartshill

At 1st Hartshill we offer 6 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others and make a positive impact in our community.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers who produce exciting and dynamic programmes for young people of the area, teaching life skills as well as having plenty of fun along the way.

We are steadily growing in all sections and have a brand new District Explorer section, that is based at Hartshill, for 14-18 year olds to try new things, make new friends and conquer the small task of changing the world!

Our newly refurbished hut stands on the Hartshill School site – and we’re perfectly situated for adventuring in Hartshill Hayes woods, open countryside and on (and sometimes in) the canal!
